Finally, Pokemon has released its MOBA game style. Still in CBT for Canada only though, but you can access this outside Canada. But beware for high ms and lagginess because of that. . As typical of any standard MOBA game, there are 5 vs 5 players in a match.

There are three lanes (top, middle, bottom) for you and your teammeates to choose, kind of reminds me Vainglory. So what's the difference? . First, there is no minions here from opposite team to destroy your turrets. There are only some random wild pokemon that you can defeat to get some levels before facing your opponent. These wild pokemons just stay on their position, not moving, not even trying to destroy your turrets. . Oh wait, there is not even turrets or any towers in this game. . No towers?? Yes. Instead the dev team replace them with circles, called Goal. Just circle, with color of your team. There are two circles on top lane and two circles on bottom lane, and one big circle as your team's base, same as your opponent's side. . So how do you defeat the opponent? Instead of destroying the turrets, you score points on those circle. After killing enemies or wild pokemons, you will get pokeballs as points. You must score those pokeballs on enemy's circles. Those circles have life points around 100. So let's say you have killed some pokemons and get 20 pokeballs. When you score those to a 100 circle, that 100 will be reduced to 80. Get it to 0 and the enemy's circle will be gone. The animation when you score the goal just like a basket dunk, btw. . When you died, the remaining pokeballs you have that you don't score yet will be reduced by half. So, my advice, score your pokeballs as often as possible even when you only have 1. Those pokeballs that scored will be your points. This is also what makes this game different from any MOBA because usually it's your enemy killing that will be displayed on score board not how many turrets you have destroyed. In this Pokemon Unite, if you don't help teammates to destroy the circle by scoring your pokeballs, you will not have any contribution points on scoreboard later. . Outside the match, you can purchase pokemon's license as your hero and the skin, also you can purchase some fashion clothes for your character to wear. There are three types of match you can choose, and the Ranked Battle one will be unlocked after you reach Trainer level 7. Each standard match has 10 minutes to play. So, unlike other MOBA that you can win after destroying turrets on opponent's base, this game usually ends when the 10 minutes time reaches its limit and the the system tally the scores. . So far, I'm enjoying this game. But because this is still CBT, in Canada region even, so there are lags here and there. Also the pokemon heroes are not as many as I expected. I thought I will see many pokemons just like its RPGs. But again, this is still CBT.

Do check it out
